THE LOCATIONS

We have four locations around Lake Louise we suggest to capture the surprise. See the map below and read about each location!

A great view point away from the crowds. Perfect if you're looking for a spot more intimate, yet with a great view. Only accessible in summer.

The most central and iconic view of the Lake. We suggest times earlier, or later, in the day to avoid the crowds looking for the same view.

Great angle if you would like to include the boathouse. We do suggest early in the morning to avoid boat house lineups.

Our most intimate spot, perfect if you're looking for a moment just between the two of you. Celebratory shots can be done around the Lake afterwards.

THE METHODS

Taina Pudwell-2.jpg

Method 1

With method one you will send us a picture of the two of you so we know whom to look out for. We will meet you at the agreed time and location (dressed as a tourist) and will kindly ask if we could take a photo of you both for the hotel's social media.  Once agreed we will pose you and take a few test shots. After we have taken those shots it will be your queue to propose, leaving our photographer in the prime position to capture the shot.

Method 2

You tell your partner the hotel has included a free professional photographer as part of your booking. You will meet us at our lobby office.  We will act as if we've never spoken before and will take you on our usual portrait walk around.  During the session, our photographers will take you to the best locations around the Lake posing you as "normal". Once we get to the agreed location this will be your queue to propose leaving our photographer in the prime position to capture the shot.

MORNING

AFTERNOON
When it comes to choosing your portrait time, you may want to consider what is best? - A morning photoshoot or an afternoon photoshoot?
Mornings are our most popular choices, between 9:00am-11:00am. Mornings tend to offer softer diffused lighting and are also great if you want to avoid the crowds, as in the afternoon the Lake is typically busier. If you also book a morning shoot and the weather doesn't co-operate, you can always move to the afternoon (dependent on availability).
Afternoons photoshoots can be great for "Golden Hour" (weather dependent) - Depending on what time of year you book, please speak to our photographers regarding a recommended sunset time.
